QuadLock™: Five Key Advantages in Soft Tissue Fixation

The Key Advantages of QuadLock™

Over the past weeks we have shared an educational series on the advantages of QuadLock™ and what they mean for surgeons and their patients. Here is the full series in one place.

1. Dual™ Tension & Fixation

QuadLock™ introduces a new standard: Dual™ Tension & Fixation. Surgeons can independently tension and fix both the soft tissue graft and internal augmentation tapes using just one device:

  • Feel the tension
  • Check the range of motion
  • Fine-tune the support

Tighten or loosen in real time until the balance is right. Maximum control, minimum complexity.

2. Protecting Biological Healing

QuadLock™ supports full-tunnel biological containment. By establishing a barrier at the tibial tunnel, it helps prevent synovial fluid ingress while retaining biological healing agents at the graft-bone interface, supporting graft integration and a more natural and reliable healing environment.

We believe fixation should do more than secure the graft: it should also help create the right environment for healing.

3. Strength and Durability

QuadLock™ offers superior pull-out strength. By protecting the sutures from abrasive cortical edges, it is designed to reduce material wear and help prevent elongation over time, resulting in a stronger, more durable construct.

Conventional fixation methods, such as cortical buttons and interference screws, may expose sutures to abrasive contact points that can contribute to wear, elongation and reduced long-term stability. Fixation performance is not only about initial strength, but also about how the construct behaves under load and over time.

4. Biomechanics Without Shortcuts

Cyclic displacement and creep are two of the most important variables to measure, and they directly impact the earliest postoperative period. When conventional fixation systems do not perform well enough in these areas, the data is too often made to look better on paper:

  • Preloading the cortical button construct up to 350N before testing to remove creep
  • Reducing cyclic loading to levels that are not clinically representative

This may help a product dossier, but the ones who ultimately pay the price are surgeons and their patients. At ABANZA, we place extraordinary value on what biomechanics truly says about how our devices will perform in the patient. Contact us with "SHOW ME THE DATA" to learn more about our studies.

5. Independent of Bone Quality

QuadLock™ provides strong, reliable fixation that is independent of bone quality. In independent biomechanical testing, QuadLock™ has demonstrated:

  • High load-to-failure strength
  • Minimal cyclic displacement
  • Consistent performance across patient profiles
  • Low variability across different bone qualities

From younger athletes to older or revision patients, surgeons need fixation they can trust across a wide range of clinical scenarios. QuadLock™ is designed to deliver predictable performance, helping reduce the uncertainty that can come with variations in bone quality.
